Poverty Bay Hunt

One of New Zealand's founding Hunts, Poverty Bay Hunt was established in 1892.

Poverty Bay Hunt's boundaries were changed in 2026 to:

On the North: From Matawai Northeast of Gisborne to Cape Runaway.

On the West From Matawai along the ranges to Te Pohue.

On the South: The line of the ranges from Te Pohue to Lake Waikaremoana and along Lake Road to Wairoa to the sea.

On the East: By the sea

The Kennels are in Gisborne up on a hill just past Ormond with views across the Poverty Bay Flats.
