The Rotorua & Bay of Plenty Hunt was established in 1932, the Hunt’s boundaries commence from a point on south lat. 39 deg. where intersected by meridian 176 deg. E long., thence north to East Coast including an extending loop at northern extremity to incorporate Athenree town and district. Thence along coast in an easterly direction to a point known as Otamarakau. Thence South East in a direct line to the starting point on 176 deg. East/long where crossed by 39 deg. South/long.
